Obituary of Robert (Bob) Edwin Anderson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Edwin Anderson on August 5, 2023, at the Red Deer Regional hospital Centre in Alberta at the age of 84 years.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Edwin and Lillian Anderson; in-laws Richard “Dick” Santer and Mabel Knebush; brothers-in-law: Bill Santer, Stan Palamarek; sisters-in-law: Kathy Santer, Mae Anderson; nephew Ryan Anderson; daughter-in-law Gloria; and son John Anderson, six days prior to Bob’s passing.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda Anderson; children Allan (Karen) Anderson and their children Steven and Samantha (Grant) Knibbs; Charlene (Del) Thue and their children Dane and Cayla (John) Shelly; Kelly Anderson; Scott (Stacey) Anderson and their son Adley; John’s girlfriend Kara Farrell; great granddaughter Blakely; sisters: Ruth and Carolyn; brother Leonard; brother-in-law Don Santer and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and if desired, donations in memory of Bob can be made directly to the Homestead Community Association, Box 2141, Hanna, AB, T0J 1P0.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be via a graveside service at the Lone-Butte Cemetery (3.4 Km east of Homestead Coulee Hall) on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with lunch to follow at the Homestead Coulee Hall.
